The Canadian Open Championships were held in St. John’s, Newfoundland from June 1st to 4 th.
Team Alberta captured the Aggregate Championship featuring the following results.
- Jenna Lamoureux won the Ladies singles coming from fourth place, winning all five games in the stepladder.
- Adam Weber came from the third qualifying spot, losing the “if” game to end with the silver medal.
- The Men’s team captured the gold medal after finishing first in the round robin.
- The Ladies team lost in the first stepladder match after finishing fourth in the round robin.
- The Mixed team took silver in the stepladder.
Tyler Tytgat won Men’s Rookie of the Year
Jenna Lamoureux, Heidi Mapstone , Tyler and Bradley Tytgat were all named to the All Star teams.
Adam Weber was inducted into the Hall of Fame on the basis of his multiple singles results over a number of years.
